Random Happenings

What to write? As I sit with a glass of hot chai tea I wonder what could I possibly say that would perk your interest. Since nothing very exciting comes to mind, I will just ramble about random happenings here at the Heyer household.

The sun is shining and we might reach 60 degrees today. :) That is very nice since we are supposed to have snow on Monday. Trying to tell all the plants it is too early and they must wait doesn't seem to work. They feel the presence of the sun and burst out in delightful new growth much too early. The children run and play outside getting a good dose of spring fever. How will they sit through two more months of school?

Today I have a cold. I felt it coming on yesterday and was very sad as I will be traveling tomorrow. Boo hoo.
Lynn has cheerleading and Jacob has basketball.
Jeff is groggy and his foot hurts were he has a hairline fracture from falling when he had a migraine. Poor guy seems to have one injury/health problem after another.
I get to spend this afternoon packing for my flight tomorrow.

Tomorrow I begin my new adventure. I will travel to Las Vegas for a week to begin my ultrasound course. The course is a year long homestudy course with occasional travel to meet with your instructors and class. Hopefully when I am done I will be able to pass the RDMS exam and become a registered sonographer. :) My work, CareNet, is sending me and paying for everything. God has really blessed me with this wonderful job. My husband is not too excited about me leaving him with the kids for a week, but he agreed that I should go ahead with the class because it is such a great opportunity.

Well, I am off to cheerleading!

By for now

It's the little everyday things that make up our lives, so it's alway interesting to me to read about them.

Best wishes on your class in Vegas, if I ever get a chance to go to Vegas I am heading straight to Hoover Dam...I've always wanted to see it...I'm such a nerd!

Hope you have a good time in Vegas! I went there once for a job seminar with Corporate Security - FBI and fraud investigations - it was interesting. I didn't really enjoy Las Vegas though - too much walking, dirty sidewalks and crowds.

Hope Jeff is feeling better - and hugs & kisses to all the kids xo

I just found your updated blog entry but now you have already flown away to Las Vegas! I hope your trip is going well, lots of interesting things to learn! SO GLAD FOR YOU TO GET THIS OPPORTUNITY and for your wonderful job to pay the expenses!!! They must value your good work and compassionate personality!!!! Isaac is excited to begin his program this summer. You will have a few things in common even though he will not be doing much in sonography. I think they still have a brief session on it though.
So sorry you had to catch a cold as you were getting ready to leave on your trip. Also sorry to hear about Jeff's hairline fracture. Jeff, please be careful! I hope your foot heals quickly (TJ's took a very long time to heal and he had one of those walking cast things).
Love to all of you. Kelly :D

Sally - I've landed here before via the Black Box. I remember because of Joshua of course.

I'm at bit removed I know, but just wanted to say it's good that life in all its ordinariness is moving along for you and the family with Joshua always held close.

Hope the course and Las Vegas went well for you.

Oohhh...Vegas. I'll be going there in July, but it's not for work. :)
