The beach....Yeah!

Sad goodbyes to Kelly and family. Off we head to Terry's house. Down the Oregon Coast we go. We stopped briefly at a sandy beach on the way for the kids to get out and stretch...

Lynn ran right out to the water and was promptly knocked down by a wave. She was soaked but still smiling. Now trying to get back in the car to drive the rest of the way to Terry's house was another matter. :)

Micah enjoyed wading and letting the water pull the sand out from under his feet.

Jacob had a giant cut under his toe from a tent peg at Kelly's and wasn't allowed to take off his shoes. Poor little guy. He still found ways to enjoy the beach even with shoes and socks on.

Daddy and his Micah James. :)

Not just soaking wet but covered in sand....yikes.

????!!!!!!!! What horrible aberration of nature could this be?

Yuck! They are Pacific Lamprays.

Memories.....

Julee, I thought of you right away when we went to the Bonneville Dam fish ladders and saw these lamprays. I remember when we were here with Mom and Dad and how funny we thought they were.

On To Kelly's

Luke, Kelly, and Caleb

Next we drove down to Kelly's house in Oregon. It was good to see my sister and her boys. :) We were sad we didn't get to see much of Isaac or Terry because of their very busy schedules.

Wonderful Dale and Richard!

We enjoyed our stay with my Aunt Dale and Uncle Richard. They have a beautiful place up on San Jaun Island in Washington State. Dale was a trooper and had a big smile even while recovering from a surgery. The kids enjoyed finding crabs and and little sea creatures along the beach during low tide. Jacob was impressed that we could see Canada across the water. I wish we could have stayed longer. We love you Dale and Richard. :)

We could not get the kids to take a regular picture so Richard joined right in on the fun.

Yellowstone in one day?

Yellowstone in one day doesn't do justice to God's amazing handywork. Micah loved the blue pools since blue is his favorite color. Jacob loved running along the wooden trails and was disappointed when we had to go back into the car without fully exploring each place. Lynn loved the geysers. I loved it all, especially seeing the kids having fun. :)

One of the lovely blue pools Micah loved

We saw Old Faithful but I didn't have my camera with me. Here is a smaller geyser we saw on the way.

Looking over a bridge rail

As we drove through a little town near the northern boarder we came across a herd of Elk enjoying the lawn.
