There is something wonderful about extended family. Having the kids get to know their cousins and aunts and uncles. Living way out in Wyoming makes it hard for the kids to get to know their relatives. Four years in between visits for these cousins. What a difference four years can make. Hopefully we won't have to wait that long next time.
Two cute cousins then....
and Now...

Family is *every*thing! I feel sorry for those that aren't close-knit -- they miss out on so much! And yet it happens often.
I remember little Lynnie with pitch red hair = and how our Mother dreamed of her before she was born :) Cousins, family, sisters, brothers, aunties and uncles... all so special and precious. How lucky are we to have experienced these things?
Your pictures are always precious to me and I love seeing them and remembering. Thank you Sal. xo
Looking once more at the pictures and it makes me laugh out loud! Love Micah's smile, Lynns funny little baby look and Jacobs shorn hair :D
The hardest thing about living overseas is missing family. Missing my kids having camping trips with their cousins etc.
Sal,
I love how you come up with creative new ways to display photos, share ideas, etc! And yes, what a treasure we have in our families and close ties when the world has so many that rage and tear each other apart like tigers! I love each and every one of you guys!!! God has been so good to us! Thank you all for loving me and mine even with all our quirks. :O
I wish my girls had cousins close, too. Unfortunately, there are so many family members they've never met. It's one of the few regrets I have.
Hello from France where I've come to you via the black box. Pop in and say hello to me
I have just come to your blog via the amazing Black Boxes widget. You can imagine how I am feeling when I tell you that we lost our son [age 35] on the 20th july this year. I cannot say anymore. You are in my thoughts.
What great memories...and handsome images! I can understand the vastness of time and distance...Our family has been in that boat :)
Treasure the moments..treasure them all :)
Thank you everyone for commenting while I was busy neglecting my blog. :) Family is indeed a gift from God. Sometimes I think one of the ways we are created in God's image is the unity we crave and need and find in our families. The trinity is so hard to understand and yet mother, father, and children are indeed one family. One unit. You need all the parts to make it whole. :)
